India After 2024

As only few days are remaining to come up for 2024, India can see some changes in or after 2024:

1) Shree Ram Mandir: The first & important event which will going to take place on 22nd January 2024 is Shree Ram Mandir inauguration. PM Modi will be the important chief guest in this event and other VIP’s also get invited for this mega event. The apex court has given its verdict on 9th November 2019 in favour of Ram Janambhoomi and this judgement ends the 500 year struggle.

2) Aditya L1 mission: After the successful operation of Chandrayaan 3 mission. ISRO had launched Aditya L1 mission and about to reach its destination in early months of 2024.

3) Lok Sabha Elections: After first quarter, India will go into the Lok Sabha polls next year and by seeing the development works carried out by the Modi Govt., he can win the elections this time as well.

4) Population Census: In every decade, there is population census happen in India from several years. It would scheduled to take place in 2021 but due to COVID it did not happen and it can take place after 2024.

5) Delimitation: Delimitation Commission is established by the Govt. of India under the provisions of Delimitation commission Act. The main task of the commission is redrawing the boundaries of various assembly & Lok Sabha constituencies based of census.

6) Citizenship Amendment Act(CAA): CAA was passed by the Parliament of India on 11th December 2019. The law grants Indian citizenship for persecuted religious minorities from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh who are Hindus, Sikhs ,Buddhists, Jains, Parsis, Christians arrived in India before the end of December 2014. Law has been made but rules not been framed out and it delayed due to COVID-19. Recently Home Minsiter Amit Shah has given statement about the implementation of this Act.

7) J&K Assembly ElectionsArticle 370 had been scrapped on 5th August 2019 and president rule is applied in J&K from 2019 onwards. Recently, Supreme Court has given its verdict and supported Govt.decision and given its order to conduct assembly elections as soon as possible.

8) One Nation One Election: It is a proposal under consideration by the Government of India to synchronise elections for the Lok Sabha (the lower house of the Indian Parliament) and all state assemblies. It intends to hold these elections simultaneously, either on a single day or within a specific time frame.

9) Women Reservation Bill: Central Govt.has passed women reservation bill and reserved 33% seats for women. Now its interesting to see when Govt. will implement these rule for the upcoming elections.

10) Uniform Civil Code(UCC): An Uniform Civil Code (UCC) is a proposed legal framework aimed at replacing personal laws based on religious scriptures and customs with a common set of laws governing personal matters for all citizens of a country, regardless of their religion or faith. The goal of a Uniform Civil Code is to promote gender equality, secularism, and social justice by ensuring that all individuals, irrespective of their religious affiliations, are subject to the same laws in matters such as marriage, divorce, inheritance, and adoption.
