Chandrayaan-3 is the planned third lunar exploration mission by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The mission is a follow-up to the Chandrayaan-2 mission, which included an orbiter, a lander called Vikram, and a rover named Pragyan. While the Chandrayaan-2 mission successfully placed the orbiter in lunar orbit, the lander lost communication just before the scheduled soft landing on the lunar surface.
Chandrayaan-3 aims to build upon the achievements of its predecessor and complete the unfinished objectives of the Chandrayaan-2 mission. The primary goal of the mission is to land a rover on the lunar surface to conduct scientific experiments and gather valuable data about the Moon’s geology, mineralogy, and surface composition.
